Enabling cramfs

cramfs as root file system

Here we use cramfs in flash memory as the root file system.

build kernel

The kernel config:

Miscellaneous filesystems  --->
   <*> Compressed ROM file system support (cramfs)

The built image looks like:

# ls images/
linux.cramfs  rootfs.cramfs  vmImage  vmlinux

After write rootfs.cramfs to flash, set u-boot bootargs as:

bootargs=root=/dev/mtdblock2 ro rootfstye=cramfs

In kernel boot message you got:

VFS: Mounted root (cramfs filesystem) readonly.
