The "U-Boot" Universal Bootloader project provides firmware for many CPU architectures and boards, including many Blackfin platforms with full source code under GPL.

Blackfin Das U-Boot port updated to 2009.01 Mike Frysinger 2009-01-21The SVN trunk of U-Boot has been updated to include u-boot-2009.01. If everything goes well, we will probably make our next release with this version. Otherwise u-boot-2008.10 should be stable for production use.
